The relevant announcement has been published in the Official EU Journal on 29.12.2009: The EU Commission has postponed the cessation of presumption of conformity for EN 954-1 for another two years until 31.12.2011.
Until this date machine manufacturers and operators can apply EN 954-1 or EN ISO 13849-1 to gain the presumption of conformity.
Pilz as the Machinery Safety Expert has already certified all products according to EN ISO 13849-1 and developed services to support the customer achieving compliance with it. Additionally Pilz will support engineers that decide to use EN 954-1 when designing safety systems for machinery with the required products and services.
